Michelle and Paul. Anya was so excited about this new schedule. She kept talking about it after school yesterday. “When I get to school tomorrow I’m going to do journaling first thing!”
Good luck with the “battle” hiatus. We’ll do our best to support your efforts!

So happy to hear it. That’s what I’ve heard from everyone. It really gives them more choices, more power and puts their education in their own hands (to some extent – I do guide them through the morning to make sure all stations are visited.) It also gives two different approaches to the two main subjects (math/language arts) each morning.
Also, thank you for the support. It’s so important to keep changing to meet the needs of the kids AND the teachers. The no “battling” issue really hasn’t been an issue yet! And has made my life (everyone’s really) so much sweeter – ah!
